I don’t think of myself as a film composer. One has only to look at the short list below to realise that I am not alone in my thinking. I composed the music for Alan Parker’s first film, “Footsteps”, after which he said how terrific my score was and how much he looked forward to us working together again very soon. That was thirty-seven years ago. Still, I’m a patient man.  Denis King

Fact of the Day
At age 15, Denis was performing six shows a day at London's famous Windmill Theatre but was not allowed to wait in the wings for his entrance with his older brothers because they followed the naked Fan Dancer act---Denis had fifteen seconds to race down five flights from the dressing room to be onstage when the curtain went up.
